Andrea Meza is crowned Miss Universe 2021. She is the third Mexican to win the pageant; the first was Lupita Jones and the second was Ximena Navarrete.
Miss Universe celebrated its 69th edition this Sunday at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Florida, where the candidates paraded with their best looks and sought to convince the jury with their charisma and beauty. But it was the Mexican, Andrea Meza, the winner of the contest; it should be noted that her predecessor was Zozibini Tunzi, the first representative of South Africa to win the crown of the contest. In addition, it was an atypical year for the beauty pageant, which followed several health measures due to the covid-19 pandemic, although it did not lose its glamour.
This year, the presence of Latin American candidates such as Estefanía Soto (Puerto Rico), Daniela Nicolás (Chile), Andrea Meza (Mexico) and Ivonne Cerdas (Costa Rica) stood out.
She has been a contestant in other beauty pageants.
The young woman represented Mexico in Miss World 2017 where she achieved the position of first runner-up and the title of Miss World America. In the Mexicana Universal pageant she positioned herself as one of the favorites and with her experience she achieved the crown. “November 2017 Miss World final in Sanya, China. Time flies but remembering those days I feel like it was yesterday one of the best experiences of my life and that every time I remember it I know it will continue to make my skin crawl,” she commented.
